Teresa L. Caprio is the President/Founder of Rainbow Guardian, Inc.; a Florida charitable foundation. Teresa started the foundation in 1995, so she could help make a better life for her intellectually challenged daughter. The foundation was created for children and adults with disabilities who need constant care and attention.

Teresa’s dream is that the Rainbow Guardian will provide the necessary tools and education to help the public understand the special-needs’ population, because it’s often discarded in mainstream society. She would like to see a future of liberty and equality by accepting these unique individuals into our daily lives. Rainbow Guardian’s primary purpose is to establish warm, loving residential group-homes for people with multiple developmental disabilities, including autism, whose parents can no longer care for them.

A message from Teresa: “I will continue to raise funds, gather information, and educate special-needs’ families to help give their children an improved quality of life with love and understanding.”

Samantha Caprio-Negret is the Vice President/Director of Fundraising & PR for the Rainbow Guardian. She has also been on the Board of Directors and in the development and growth of the foundation since its establishment in 1995. Samantha also designed and created the Rainbow Guardian’s logos. Samantha received her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Broadcasting at Florida International University in 2003. She hopes to use her experiences in communication to help make our society better understand people with challenges. She looks forward to making an impact on the community by using the power of the media. Her goal is to send out awareness messages to the public to help the charity raise funds and recognition.

A Message from Samantha: “There are many people out there that are unfortunate and need help…don’t just sit back, watch or pray about it…do something about it.”

Rainbow Guardian's TLC Ranch Group-Home Facility

The Rainbow Guardian’s group-home facility, TLC Ranch, will house up to six, young intellectually challenged females, including autism. The charity’s goal is that the home will result in a close-to-normal atmosphere for them where they can reside happily and comfortably for the majority or even rest of their lives, learning how to become more self-sufficient.

TLC Ranch will also provide programs on the property, raising funds to open an equine-assisted therapy program (horses for the handicap). Rainbow Guardian will also develop educational learning facilities for our special-needs’ citizens where they can learn social interaction and better communication skills.
